Little Explorers School

How it started

This school was started on the 29th January 2024 after the COVID-19 pandemic, the Orphans and children from poor families were finding it had to access education because the government aided schools were located very far for them to walk 3 to 4 km up to where they are and the private schools located in the village were expensive for their parents and guardians to afford them. Mr Ssentongo Charles together with the community came up with the idea to start Little Explorers Junior School. The school started with 20 learners but now it has about 150 learners.

Our school motto is “explore and learn” Though we are still using temporary shelters we are dedicated to teaching our learners all the aspects of our Ugandan curriculum. What started with a few children has grown into a safe learning space where education, care, and opportunity come together every day.
